The Arlene Awards began in 2005 to recognize articles and books that make a difference. The award was endowed by long-time member Howard Eisenberg in honor of his late wife, Arlene Eisenberg, author of What to Expect When You’re Expecting. Next awards for books will be given in 2007, 2010 and 2013.
